Humana recently changed it's Agent release policy on January 22, 2019. This new release policy makes it easier for agents to align their business with the uplines that they choose to. One of the big things to remember is that aligning yourself with a new organization only affects new business that is written. All previous commissions and renewal commission get paid to the uplines that you were aligned with when you wrote the business.

American National recently sent out communications that they have repriced their Signature Guaranteed UL. The most significant changes are with face amounts $250,000 plus in the Non-Smoker (NS) classes.

  • Issue ages 40-59: Up to 10% decrease in premiums for NS classes.
  • Issue ages 60-70: Up to 20% decrease in premiums for NS classes.
  • Issue ages 71-80: 10% decrease in premiums for NS classes.
  • Issue ages 18-39: 5% increase in premiums.
  • Face amounts of $249,999 and below are getting a 10% increase in premiums.
